This Privacy Policy explains how Good TRKR LLC, doing business as PixlBank (“PixlBank,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects information in connection with our PixlBank[ar] augmented reality platform and related services. We keep the information we collect to a minimum. People who scan our AR experiences do not need to download an app, create an account, or tell us who they are.

1. Who and What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to information we collect through:

(together, the “Services”).

Many AR Experiences are created for our business clients, such as brands, hotels, attractions, destinations and cultural organizations, and are displayed at their locations or on their materials. When you scan one of those experiences, we collect the limited information described below, and we share scan reports with the client that commissioned the experience as described in Section 4. Our clients’ own websites, apps and privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

A. When you scan or view an AR Experience

We designed our AR Experiences to work without identifying you. When you scan a PixlBank QR code or view an AR Experience, we automatically collect:

Camera. AR Experiences use your device’s camera to recognize the printed image and place digital content on top of it. Camera images are processed on your device in real time and are never recorded, stored or sent to our servers. You can deny or revoke camera access at any time in your device or browser settings, but the AR Experience will not work without it.

Recordings you choose to make. Our iOS app includes a record feature. Nothing is recorded unless you choose to use it. If you do, the video is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to or stored on our servers, and you control whether you share it.

Optional forms and surveys. Some AR Experiences include an optional form, such as a survey or a request for more information. Filling one out is always your choice. If you do, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address and your responses, and use it as described on that form. If the form is provided by the client that commissioned the AR Experience, the form will say so.

B. When you order or use Paper-View Post

When you create an account, design, order, send or update Paper-View Post postcards, we collect:

If you give us the name and address of someone else, such as a postcard recipient, you confirm that you are allowed to share it with us for that purpose. We use recipient information only to print, address and deliver your order.

People who receive a Paper-View Post postcard and scan it are treated like anyone scanning an AR Experience, as described in Section 2.A.

C. When you work with us as a client or business contact

D. When you visit our websites

When you visit www.pixlbank.com, our servers and hosting providers automatically receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit. We use this to deliver the site, keep it secure and understand overall traffic. We also use Google Analytics on www.pixlbank.com to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how far visitors scroll and which links they click. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives this information, including your IP address, on our behalf. We have turned off Google’s advertising features, so this information is not used for advertising. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not use third-party advertising tools on www.pixlbank.com.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Real people in AR Experiences. Some AR Experiences, including Living Portraits™ and Destination Preservation Project™ experiences, feature the images, voices, languages and stories of real people. We feature a real person only with the permission of that person or someone authorized to act for them, obtained by us or by our client. Some Living Portraits™ use animation or voices created with artificial intelligence tools, based on material provided with that permission.

No selling and no targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use or share personal information for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as browser storage) to run the Services and, on www.pixlbank.com, to measure site traffic with Google Analytics (see Section 2.D). For example, we use them to keep you signed in to the Client Portal or your Paper-View Post account, remember your settings, and count unique visitors to an AR Experience. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising pixels. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you do, some parts of the Services, such as signing in, may not work.

Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. If your browser sends one, we treat it as a request to opt out of any such sale or sharing.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, keep required business records, resolve disputes and comply with the law. For example:

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Examples include encryption in transit, access controls that limit access to people who need it, and shortening IP addresses before we store them. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Our AR Experiences may appear in places families visit, such as hotels, parks and attractions. Viewing an AR Experience does not require anyone to tell us who they are, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in Europe and the UK). Our accounts, Paper-View Post orders and optional forms are not intended for children under those ages. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us at legalstuff@pixlbank.com and we will delete it.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Because we shorten IP addresses and do not collect names or contact details from people who simply scan an AR Experience, we usually cannot link scan data to a specific person. This means we may be unable to find or act on scan data about you, unless you also submitted an optional form.

10. Additional Information for California Residents

If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), applies to our handling of your information, you have the right to:

In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2: identifiers (such as name, email address, mailing address and shortened IP address), commercial information (such as Paper-View Post orders), internet or other electronic activity (such as scan and button-click events), approximate geolocation, the content you upload, and professional information from business contacts. We collected it from the sources and used it for the purposes described in Sections 2 and 3, and we disclosed it only to the categories of recipients described in Section 4. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

To exercise your rights, email legalstuff@pixlbank.com. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of their authority. We will verify your request using the information you give us.

11. Additional Information for Users in Europe and the UK

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Good TRKR LLC is the controller of the personal information described in this policy, except where we process scan data or form responses on behalf of a client, in which case that client may be the controller. We rely on the following legal bases:

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email legalstuff@pixlbank.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. International Users

We are based in the United States, and the Services are hosted in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as by email to account holders or a notice on our website, before the changes take effect.
