Calling all ocean lovers! Whether you surf, paddle, dive, fish, sail, swim, or just love our ocean. This could be our last chance to come together to stop destructive deep-sea mining before it starts!
A visual petition where you can post a photo of you on, under, or near the ocean… or just a selfie if you’re not near the coast. Your photo will show politicians that you say NO to deep-sea mining. Every photo counts!
You can join one of the global paddle-outs on July 20th. You can also just go to the ocean and take a photo or choose an ocean selfie from your phone. And for those of you not near the coast, you can still show your support by sharing a selfie from wherever you are. Every photo matters!
Politicians want to lease large areas of our deep-sea beds to giant corporations for mining rare-earth minerals.
Not enough research has been done to know the potential impacts on coastal communities, marine life, climate, ocean health, and the world's fisheries
